Vintage Seiko Dolce 6030-5200 Gold Flake 1981

Acquired taste, but exceptionally unique and expensive was this Vintage Seiko Dolce is peak-seiko innovation, quality, style and craftmanship. Personally, I think the Seiko Dolce range is overlooked and has many gems - this one included.Ā

The dial is what catches the eye immediately with a gold-leaf patternĀ housed in a 6mm flat octagonal shaped SGP caseĀ . It also has a sapphire crystal - which was not common at all back then. Last but not least the crown has a black-stone cabuchon set and you can see some western (*cough Cartier*) influence done in Seiko Fashion here.

This Seiko houses the Seiko Caliber 6030 which was broadly used at the time and is a reliable quartz caliber.

It comes on the originalĀ integrated bracelet, which is beautiful besides the fact you can't resize it unless you cut the bracelet. It currently fits up to around 17,5~cm wrists and can be cut down to fit smaller wrists.

A Fresh Battery has been placed and it keeps time well aswell as sets smoothly through the crown.

This is model AFS954 costing a whopping „100,000 back in 1981!
