From the year that Type II had over 70 models in the seiko catalog, this Seiko Type II 4336-8030 Gravel Dial Quartz 1977 JDM is an absolute beauty! The colourful and well-designed, clean and detailed details on these are great.
I call this one the "gravel" dial because it has an actual relief on it. Another great detail is the sharp polished hands that look like they are polished like a knife or katana.
Watch was produced in the Daini factory, as can be seen by the Daini lighting bolt at 6 o'clock. Watch is from 1978. This is model QHP070 from the 1978 Catalog costing 28,000 Yen back then!
Watch has a new battery placed in June 2024.. Watch, case and strap have been ultrasonically cleaned and are therefore completely neat again.
