Seiko Silverwave 8229-8000 1980 [SOLD]

This is a really nice vintage Seiko Silverwave watch from the 1980s, featuring Kanji/English day display and a screw-down crown, housed in a 36mm case from the Suwa factory. Despite wear on the case and some minor scratches on the mineral glass, it has a new battery and functions for time, day, and date settings. The Silverwave series was known for its enhanced water resistance, indicated by the screw-down crown and "double" tsunami wave on the case back, but as it is a vintage watch, I cannot guarantee this for daily use.

Overall, it's a standout piece with a beautifully applied logo on the dial, slim black hands. Nice detail is the mirrored chapter ring that enhances the sunburst-white dial perfectly."
